GI’s major focus is on designing, developing and conducting training programs to equip managers with appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes required for effectively responding to needs of natural resources and development sector. IFT programs combine personal experience with case studies and problem solving exercises that give the participants the maximum benefit of learnings through individual exchanges. Needless to say, the academic concepts are reinforced through interactive learning-cum-discussions, business games and indoor/outdoor activities. Participants do have the benefit of interacting with eminent academicians, policy makers and sector leaders. GI uses leadership simulations to give grassroots leaders a complete picture of their performance and to help them identify strengths and areas for improvement as well as emphasize on action planning and follow-up to ensure that new skills can be applied immediately on the job.

Grassroots Institute offers a series of practical trainings specially designed for development workers and professionals. Those who complete the chosen IFT successfully are eligible to receive Certificate of Completion, which has recognition in the development sector for professional purposes.

During the implementation of development projects various case studies and success stories generate that can not only reveal the processes of execution but also give rise to many learnings.
